A new isosurface extraction method on arbitrary grids

چکیده
The development of interface-capturing methods (such as level-set, phase-field or volume fluid (VOF) methods) for arbitrary 3D grids has further highlighted the need more accurate and efficient interface reconstruction procedures. In this work, we propose a new method extraction isosurfaces on polyhedra that can be used with advantage purpose. isosurface is extracted from fractions by general polygon tracing procedure, which valid convex non-convex geometries, even non-planar faces. proposed method, considered an extension marching cubes technique, produces consistent results ambiguous situations in shape.
